Decker Elementary School&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What are some key aspects\u00a0of campus culture that helped prepare you for the professional world?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Flexibility; as a teacher you need to be able to adapt quickly to different situations. Time management is also very important because some courses are fast-paced and I have to teach different topics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Being DEI inclusive is also important as you are exposed to different cultures and backgrounds. I try to provide as much cultural diversity as I can. The multicultural classes at UNLV are what helped me most with teaching; it really shows you how to become culturally diverse and be mindful of the different populations you work with.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Tell us about you as a person!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Although I am a kindergarten teacher I strive to be an art teacher one day. I want to be able to express my creativity and my problem solving skills through my art work but still helping and teaching others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Would you change anything about your time at UNLV?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I would spend more time on campus. I\u2019d meet more people. I think it would have been easier to manage classes if I\u2019d have taken advantage of the resources provided on campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Are you a COE alum?
